Shadows & Cultural Connections at the B.A.G.
From the real and imaginary to an international east-to-west cultural exchange, the Burnaby Art Gallery offers two new and exciting exhibitions from now until January 13th, 2008.
The first features Jude Griebel: A Cast of Shadows - a series of prints in which elements of storybook narrative and adult experience are combined to create scenes that have a foothold in both the real and imaginary.
The second is an international cultural exchange between the east and west coasts. The Port City Connect: From Burnaby to Brooklyn exhibition is an exploration of cultural perspectives on ideas of home, neighbourhood, land and water, linking the communities of Burnaby and Brooklyn by bringing together senior high school students from Burnaby Central Secondary School and The New York Harbor School.
With a variety of traveling exhibitions and events, the Burnaby Art Gallery offers
something for all ages. The Gallery’s lively public programs are designed
to enrich the visitor’s experience as it relates to each exhibition.
Be sure to visit the Gallery on Sunday, January 27 from 1:00pm to 3:30 p.m. (every half hour) for In the B.A.G. a free family Sunday Program. No registration is required.
